The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in the year 2009, currently the department offers an Under Graduate program B. Tech in Electrical Engineering with an annual intake of 60 students and is permanently affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere. Our undergraduate programme is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
The department of Electrical Engineering strives to give a solid foundation in the fundamentals of electrical engineering. It seeks to provide outstanding education in order to generate Electrical Engineers who can meet the needs of society and mankind. The department adheres to ethical norms in teaching, learning, and research. The Department has a staff of highly qualified, experienced, devoted, and motivated faculty members. The department also works hard to develop in students an engineering mindset and a culture of inquiry. It enables students to understand and hence apply the laws through laboratory classes.
The Department has well-equipped laboratories such as the Basic Electrical Engineering Lab, DC Machines Lab, AC Machines Lab, Measurements and Instrumentation Lab, Computer Lab-I (Network Analysis, Control Systems Lab), Computer Lab-II (Power Systems Lab), High Voltage Engineering Lab, Energy Lab and Innovation Lab. The department offers its students numerous opportunities to develop their whole personality by participation in various Curricular, Co-Curricular, and Cultural activities held throughout the year. Students take an active role in arranging these activities, under the professional societies (IEEE, ISTE, ISLE) and Electrical Engineering Student Association, EESA) with guidance from department faculty members.
